Diving Deeper for Safety

The Placer County Public Safety Dive Foundation is a Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation, currently pending 501(c)(3) status. We were created to address the need for specialized dive equipment, training, and operational support for public safety dive teams in Placer County. These teams play a critical role in rescues, recoveries, and public safety education, but often lack full funding. Our nonprofit ensures these life-saving teams receive the tools and resources they need. We are led by community members with strong ties to public safety, law enforcement, and rescue operations, combined with nonprofit management experience and community engagement.

Dive into Support

At Placer County Public Safety Dive Foundation, we are committed to enhancing the safety, readiness, and effectiveness of public safety dive teams. Our services are designed to provide comprehensive support to these teams, while also promoting water safety and drowning prevention in the community. We believe in the power of education, community engagement, and resource provision to make a significant difference in public safety.

Support for Dive Teams

Our primary service is providing resources and support for public safety dive teams. This includes everything from funding for specialized dive equipment to operational support during rescue and recovery missions. We understand the critical role these teams play in our community, and we are here to ensure they have everything they need to do their jobs effectively and safely.

Training and Equipment Assistance

We offer training and equipment assistance for divers. This includes both initial training for new divers and ongoing training to ensure that all divers have the most up-to-date knowledge and skills. We also provide assistance with acquiring and maintaining dive equipment, ensuring that all divers have access to the tools they need to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Public Education

We believe that education is key to preventing water-related accidents and incidents. That’s why we offer public education on water safety and drowning prevention. Our educational initiatives include everything from community workshops to educational materials distributed to local schools and community centers.

Community Engagement

We believe in the power of community. That’s why we coordinate community engagement, fundraising, and volunteer activities. These activities not only provide much-needed resources for our dive teams, but also help to foster a strong relationship between the public and our teams. Whether it’s a fundraising event, a volunteer cleanup day, or a community awareness campaign, we are here to engage and involve the community in our mission.
